UPDATE: B.o.B. a/k/a Bobby Ray will open up for the "Renegades" this week in Detroit.
Eminem will be going the live band route for his four-date tour with Jay-Z.
Eminem will be performing with a live band for his much-discussed, four-show tour with Jay-Z, reports the Detroit Free Press.
While Eminem is certainly no stranger to using live instrumentation in his performances (the rapper had The Roots back him for his live rendition of "Lose Yourself" at the Grammy Awards).
"The production is very, very complicated, a lot of moving parts, because it's only the four shows," explained production director Dan Parise.
"This is their vision," he said of the shows, two of which take place in Detroit's Comerica Park, and another two in New York's Yankee Stadium. "My job was to make it reality. But the concept, the idea, the messages they're trying to get across -- it's all theirs."

Rapper Eminem is in talks to buy St. Andrew’s Hall, a Detroit venue owned by Live Nation. According to The Detroit News, Eminem is negotiating to buy the venue from Live Nation, formerly Clear Channel Entertainment, for an undisclosed amount. Live Nation, which was created in 2005, owns or operates over 120 performance venues worldwide. You can't throw the year's biggest party without inviting the artist with the best-selling album of 2010. Especially if that guy happens to be Eminem, whose history with the MTV Video Music Awards is long, legendary and full of the kind of eye-popping moments that make the VMAs the must-TiVo event of the year.
Slim Shady will bless the show's stage on September 12, where he is nominated for eight Moonmen for his smash comeback album Recovery, the best-selling non-country release of the year. ...
